Cinevic and Puente Theatre Present
SCENE and HEARD

Scene + Heard is a project that connects the
oldest form of storytelling with some of the most modern. Following up
on a sold out 2008 performance, this second incarnation of CineVic:
Society of Independent Filmmakers and Puente Theatre's project is the
next phase of a collaboration project between local filmmakers and
traditional oral storytellers, and will feature three new works to add
to the original three. Each story is either a traditional story or is
the tellers own personal expression illuminating an experience of
multiculturalism.

UVIc Dance Collaborative
Fundraiser for PEERS
Saturday Feb 27th 2010
The U-Vic DAnce Collaborative is a dance company
formed for fundraising
events by UVic Ballet/Jazz teacher Wendy MacDougall and UVic Hip Hop
teacher Kevin Pescod. The dancers are students from the
University of Victoria's reacreational dance program. An emphasis on
inclusiveness abd empowerment through dance helps create a cohesive
dance community.

A laugh-a-minute comedic romance. What can happen
when two rival lawyers, a nerdy scientist and a female Russian assassin
get together to plays some games? Oh, and perhaps a few hands of poker.

Kaleidoscope Theatre Presents
BILLY BISHOP GOES TO WAR
March 26-7 @ 8pm,
March 28 @ 2pm
This captivating musical narrative follows the
riveting true-life
adventures of a Canadian World War I flying ace as he attempts to
recolcile the ecstacy of flying with the horrors of war. Bishop
became oe of only a handful of Canadian pilots to fight for the Allies
in the Great War. Flying over France, he claimed 72 victoria, won
the Military Cross and the Victoria Cross, and was promoted to Major
and then Lieutenant-Colonel.
One of only two internationally acclaimed Canadian Musicals, Billy
Bishop Goes to War was presented with the 1981 Los Angles Drama Critics
Award, the 1982 Chalmers Canadian Play Award and the 1983 Governor
General's Award for Drama
